The Luzerne County Democratic Committee consists of committee members publicly elected in the year of a gubernatorial election for four year terms. The committee members elect the County Chair at the Luzerne County Democratic convention and their respective District Chairs at their district organizational conventions.

The party’s Executive Committee consists of the county and district chairpersons, as well as county and district “at large” members appointed by the county and district chairpersons. The Executive Committee also counts elected and nominated Democrats on the county and state levels among its membership.
